What do we need from you?

1. Photocopy of the Passport of each grantor by fax, e-mail or post. [If it is a Power of Attorney we also would need the marital status of each grantor; and, if going to buy a property in Spain, the name (not surnames) of the parents of each grantor (even if they are deceased)].

2. Photocopy of the UK address of each grantor (utility bill, phone or bank statement with the UK address)

3. The name, ID, full address and telephone of your Spanish lawyer(s) and the instructions s/he gave you if any;

4. If a translation is needed I should have an advance copy of the document by fax and then the original should be brought at my office. [Subject to the extension of the document it will be ready on the very next day (Diplomas) or in a couple of days (if a Will, Trust document or Company Articles of Association)].

5. If the Power of Attorney or Statutory Declaration comes from a business entity, the way to proceed is different. The Board of Directors have to produce a Company Resolution (CR) authorising one Director or an Attorney to sign on behalf of the Company for the specific matter. A draft model of the CR can be discussed by telephone before and be available for you to review, final check and signature.

6. If you need your document to be signed with witnesses please tell us in advance in order to make the applicable arrangements.

Fees

Every notarial document is different and we can not give you now the exact fees for our services, call us to discuss the specific matter and we will give you the price in advance.

Our translation fees are 15p (fifteen pence) per word translated. Medical certificates £0.20p (twenty pence) per word. The translation will be issued with a Notarial certificate signed by the Notary and ready to be used before any UK authority or to be legalised with the Apostille at the Foreign Office to be used abroad.
